H.E. Dr. MEY Kalyan is a Cambodian economist and diplomat. He is currently a Senior Advisor to the Supreme National Economic Council (SNEC) of the Royal Government of Cambodia. He is also the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and the President of the Cambodia-Japan Association for Business and Investment (CJBI).
Dr. Kalyan received his PhD in Development Economics from Kobe University in Japan in 1984. He then worked as a Senior Economist for the UN/FAO-World Bank Cooperative Programme based in Rome, Italy for more than 20 years. In 2004, he returned to Cambodia and joined the SNEC. He has also served as a consultant to various international organizations, including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the United Nations.
Dr. Kalyan is a respected figure in Cambodia and has made significant contributions to the country's economic development. He is a strong advocate for economic cooperation between Cambodia and Japan. He is also a strong supporter of education and has worked to improve the quality of education in Cambodia.

Mr. KURATA Hironobu firstly came to Cambodia in 1992 as NGO volunteer aiming to contribute to the support for Cambodian refugees coming back from Thailand and building schools in Cambodia. Since 1994, Mr. Kurata explored the business ideas and started a pepper farm in 1997. He opened a pepper store in Phnom Penh in 2005 and a branch office in Japan in 2013. Mr. Kurata has about 6 hectares of pepper farms in Koh Kong Province and produces 4 tons of pepper every year. Currently, Mr. Kurata is trying to develop a market in Japan. While he is engaged in his pepper business, he is also contributing to the development of organic agriculture as a President of Cambodian Organic Agriculture Association (COrAA).

H.E. Mr. SHINOHARA Katsuhiro, a Japanese national born in 1944, graduated from Yokohama City University. After graduating from University, he got the job at Embassy of Japan in Cambodia as third secretary.From July 1967 to 2007, he had been working in embassies in different countries such as Cambodia, USA, France, Republic of Ivory Coast, and Thailand.From April, 2007 to August, 2009, he was a Japanese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Cambodia.Currently, he is a representative of Cambodia International Education Support Foundation (CIESF) Cambodia, a Japanese founded NGO which aims at human resources development in Cambodia through improved education.

Oknha Maha Upasiha KEO Mom established Ly Ly Food Industry Co., Ltd. in 2002 to produce Khmer high quality delectable food products, seeing to it that her company would engage employees who were disadvantaged and hailed from humble beginnings. She envisioned that she could ameliorate their quality of lives, and as consequence of abject poverty. Thus, it can be storied that her food manufacturing firm was not only designed to make profits but likewise graced with a Corporate Social Responsibility.
Oknha Maha Upasiha Keo Mom is also the Chairman of Lyly Kameda, the chairman & founder of Kampong Seila Special Economic Zone, the President of Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association (CWEA), the Vice President of Phnom Penh Small & Medium Industry Association (PSMIA), an active President of Chamber of Professional Micro Enterprises of Cambodia (CPMEC), and also the President of Divine Dharma Meditation Association-Cambodia (DDMAC).

Mr. KANDA Yogo is a former General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation Phnom Penh Representative Office since 2018; at the same time, he was also a member of the Board of Director of CJBI. He graduated from Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. Since joining Mitsubishi Corporation, Mr. KANDA has gained 20 years’ experience in the fields of Industrial Machinery, having previously held management positions in Japan and China. With his active involvement and contribution towards CJBI, our Board of Directors have unanimously agreed to nominate him as our Honorary Board Members. In this regard, he still continues to support in connecting Cambodian companies with Japanese companies.

Mr. UEMATSU Hiroshi obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Social Relations degree from Rikkyo University, Japan in 1991. With more than 20 years of experiences in business administration and engineering related industries in Southeast Asia, Mr. UEMATSU is now an Executive Director and CEO of Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone Plc. whose business is development and management of the special economic zones in Cambodia.

Mr. ENG Phallim is a Cambodian entrepreneur and business executive with more than 20 years of experience in outdoor advertising, media infrastructure, telecommunications, and smart city development and construction. He is the Founder and Chairman of Space Media Co., Ltd. and POMA Media Co., Ltd., one of Cambodia’s leading outdoor media companies, specializing in billboards, LED displays, transit advertising, and urban communication infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Mr. Phallim has successfully developed and managed nationwide advertising networks while working closely with government institutions, private enterprises, and international brands. His expertise includes strategic investment, infrastructure development, public-private partnerships (PPP), business expansion, and long-term concession projects.
Mr. Phallim is actively promoting innovative Smart City initiatives in Cambodia, including digital street signage, intelligent traffic information systems, LED media networks, centralized telecommunications infrastructure, and integrated urban advertising solutions. His vision is to modernize Cambodia’s public infrastructure while creating sustainable investment opportunities for both the public and private sectors. With strong leadership, extensive industry experience, and a long-term vision for Cambodia’s urban development, Mr. Phallim continues to contribute to the growth of the country’s media, telecommunications, and smart infrastructure sectors.

H.E. VA Kora holds a Master's degree in Science from the University of Electro-communication (UEC Tokyo) in Japan. With exceptional expertise in information technology and Artificial Intelligence, he currently serves as the CEO of SpaciaNet Co., Ltd., specializing in online travel services. Additionally, Mr. Kora is the President of the Japan Alumni of Cambodia (JAC), showcasing his leadership within the community. Furthermore, he plays a crucial role as a Ministerial Advisor at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunication, holding the rank of Undersecretary of State. Through his diverse roles and extensive knowledge, Mr. Kora actively contributes to the advancement of the technology and travel industries, promoting collaboration and mutual cooperation between Japan and Cambodia.

Mr. Maeda Hisakazu is an accomplished Japanese corporate executive with extensive experience in international business strategy, market development, and cross-border operations across the Mekong region. Throughout his career with Panasonic, he has played a key role in expanding the company's presence in Southeast Asia, driving sustainable business growth while strengthening economic cooperation between Japan and Cambodia.
He is currently the Chief Representative of Panasonic Cambodia (Branch of Panasonic Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd.) and serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Cambodia-Japan Association for Business and Investment (CJBI), as well as a Director of the Japanese Business Association of Cambodia (JBAC). In these leadership roles, he actively promotes Japanese investment, strengthens bilateral business collaboration, and contributes to Cambodia's economic and industrial development.
Beyond his business leadership, Mr. Maeda is a strong advocate for corporate social responsibility and human resource development.
