The new water supply chain in Siem Reap is 99 percent achieved and scheduled to be officially operated in May 2023 under a high precedency of Prime Minister Hun Sen. This project began in 2020 on 4 hectare plot with a total of $115 million budget. Seak Pengkeang, Deputy Director General of Siem Reap Water Supply Authority said that, this project has a reservoir capacity of 10,000 cubic meters and able to generate and distribute more than 60,000 cubic meters of water per day. As of now, Siem Reap has three water supply chains that can completely sustain both locals and visitors and can manage the demand for clean water until 2030.
